What is the Women Divers Hall of Fame?

The Women Divers’ Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the contributions of women divers. There are currently 223 Members in the WDHOF, hailing from 30 U.S. states and Territories and 18 countries worldwide.

What Do These Female Leaders Do?

WDHOF Members are the pioneers, leaders, innovators and world record holders throughout the international diving community.

WDHOF Logo-women divers hall of fame, association, logo female leadersWhat began as a tribute to the leading women divers of the Twentieth Century soon developed into a wider vision when they began recognizing still more of the women divers who were contributing significantly to the exploration, greater understanding, safety and enjoyment of our underwater world. Their contributions spanned generations in a wide variety of specialty fields, including the Arts, Sciences, Medicine, Sports, Exploration, Archaeology, Media, Safety, Education, Service, Business, Environment and Conservation. Thus the Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF) was born.

You Can Help Support Aspiring Conservationists & Divers

WDHOF logo 2019 scholarships women divers hall of fame female leadersThe membership works year round to raise funds for scholarships and training grants that support young people entering careers that involve scuba diving.

Scholarships are offered in marine conservation, marine biology, underwater archaeology, and underwater education. They are intended to support independent research and/or education programs.

Training grants provide funding for diving and related underwater training and, for some awards, scuba equipment. The applications for scholarships end Oct 31.

This year, the WDHOF has put together a calendar to inspire our young women and men to dream big and widen their perspective. If you or a loved one dreams of spending a career beneath or on the waves, see how these women have done it and you may be surprised at all the ways you can pursue a career and excel in this industry.

Not only will this calendar inspire and evoke thought, it also supports the Scholarship & Training Grant program that WDHOF offers every year. Buy a calendar and help endow the $62,000 worth of ocean funding they grant every year.
