What could be a better place to throw a giant party for the ocean than on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza. Famous for its nightlife, throbbing dance floors and beautiful, young visitors from around the world, Ibiza and Oceanic Global will host their party on July 20, 2017.
New to the non-profit scene, Oceanic Global is using the dance floor to spotlight the need for ocean action. 2000 guests have been invited for the island’s first ever philanthropic music event to be held at Cala Jondal, Yemanja & Blue Marlin Ibiza from 5pm to midnight.
Ibiza Fantastic Location, Fabulous Fun
Ibiza is a global destination for dance and music lovers the world over, and much of its fabled glory is due to its beautiful locale. The Spanish island is surrounded by the spectacular blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, and if you want those waters to stay beautiful, you need to give a hoot about conservation.
“Oceanic Global is thrilled to bring awareness for ocean conservation to the island of Ibiza,” Oceanic co-founder Lea d’Auriol is quoted in a press release. “Ibiza has longstanding roots in sustainability and we hope that Oceanic x Ibiza will inspire both locals and visitors alike to take action towards restoring the health of our global oceans and the harmony of the local atmosphere.”
International DJs, Films and Virtual Reality Offered

20 leading conservationists from around the world will give talks and lead panel discussion covering a number of ocean issues.
All Profits Support Ocean Conservation
All profits from the Ibiza event will be donated across ocean conservation organizations. including The United Nations Environmental Programme, The UN Sustainable Development Goals, Ibiza Preservation Fund, The Ibiza Film Festival, and more.
Raising Ocean Awareness Thru Music
Oceanic x Ibiza is the non-profit’s inaugural music event and is part of a city-by-city series that uses performance art, music and virtual reality technologies to engage local communities in ocean action.
Oceanic Global tested the waters in London, June 30, with an art, film and conversation event at Covent Garden, in collaboration with Ayana Initiative. Oceanic Global was also a founding partner of the World Ocean Festival held June 4, 2017 in New York City.
By launching a series of music parties and creative events, Oceanic believes the experiences will raise awareness on ocean issues, and inspire creation – of new habits and new solutions.
