dr_phil_nuytten, marine biologist, ocean activist, marine conservationDr. Phil Nuytten will be taking the helm as the emcee of the Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF) annual special event Tropical Dreams and Paradise Sunsets at DEMA Show 2015.  Inventor of the famous Newtsuit and world-renowned for his undersea exploration, Dr. Nuytten will be helping WDHOF raise funds for its scholarships and training grants by auctioning off exotic trips and one-of-a-kind silent auction items.

Sponsored by DAN (Divers Alert Network) Tropical Dreams and Paradise Sunsets will be held Wednesday, November 4th, from 7:30 to 10:30 pm at the Rosen Centre Hotel, Orlando, FL. Tickets are only $20 and include an incredible buffet, no-host bar, a steel pan player (compliments of the Antigua Tourism New York office) and a fun, fantastic pirate-themed evening. Attendees are invited to come as they are or as their favorite pirate or wench.

wildwildwestlogo-webThe Women Divers Hall of Fame will offer 28 scholarships and training grants in 2016 in the areas of: Marine Conservation, Undergraduate Marine Research, Marine or Underwater Education, Underwater Archaeology, Dive Medicine, Journalism, Graphic Arts, or Photography, Public Safety Diving, Underwater Photography, Basic Dive Training, Junior Diver Training, Advanced Dive Training, Hardhat Dive Training, Diver Medic Training, Disabled Diver Training,
Dive Training for Marine Scientists, Oceanographers, or Ocean Engineers, Dive Training for Students in ROTC, JROTC, Military Academy, or Sea Cadets.
