The Diver’s Alert Network or DAN has just announced they are accepting applications for its 2018 R.W. “Bill” Hamilton Dive Medicine Research Grant. DAN offers a grant of $10,000 to provide a year of support for new or ongoing research projects into diving decompression.
“Applicants can be involved in any aspect of the research, but the spirit of the program is to support projects closely related to Dr. Hamilton’s studies. The grant is open to applicants at any stage of their professional education or career, and recipients are required to present their results to DAN.”
The grant was established to honor Dr Hamilton nicknamed the “Prince of Gases” within the diving fraternity, who passed away in 2011.
December 4th, 2017 is the deadline for applications. If you are a researcher interested in the grant — or know of one who would be — send your proposal to Garrett Boyles at GBroyles@DAN.org. The recipient of the grant will be notified by the end of the year.
Visit the Divers Alert Network website.
Good Luck to everyone applying.
